East Africa Cocoa & Commodities SMC Ltd is a Uganda-based cocoa processing and trading business focused on cocoa value addition. The company manufactures cocoa mass from Ugandan-origin cocoa and operates with an installed cocoa mass production capacity of approximately one ton per hour.
Our activities are built around cocoa sourcing, processing, farmer relationships, quality management and export trade. Sister company Grow More Seeds and Chemicals Limited supplies Grade 1 dry beans and certified seed from the same Kampala desk.
Our journey
From Commodity Experience to Cocoa Processing
The business developed from experience in cocoa beans, agricultural commodities and international trade. After building knowledge of the cocoa market and relationships with customers, the company expanded into value-added cocoa processing. The production of cocoa mass became an important step in moving beyond raw commodity trading and creating additional value from Ugandan cocoa.

To enhance household income generation and promote agricultural exports through value-added production while contributing foreign revenue and supporting Uganda's economic growth.
